inspiration

Inspiration could be the single most important facet of starting a company or jump-starting an idea that turns into a business.

I get my daily inspiration from a number of places:

1. My brilliant colleagues at all the companies that I work for and with.
2. My very talented employees and dedicated vendors who continue to impress me every single day
3. Reading – Lots and Lots of reading!
4. Always challenging what is accepted as the best way to do something

Here are a few of the brilliant people I read everyday:

Aaron Wall – SEOBook
Todd Malicoat – Stuntdubl
Joost de Valk – SEO Blog
Rapidsea
The Team at Search Engine Land
Brian Clark’s Copyblogger
Bittboxx
Killer Start-ups
Matthew Griffin’s Bits O’ New Media
Matt Cutt’s: Google, Gadgets, and SEO
Thomas’s Sharebrain
TechCrunch
The Four Hour Work Week – by Timothy Ferriss
*New* Penelope Trunk’s Brazen Careerist

Perhaps the most important thing…

As I have referenced within a few posts on here, make sure you hang out with dreamers. Dreamers are the ultimate, invaluable resource for any entrepreneur. “Eagles only fly with Eagles,” this quote has lead me well in the past few years throughout my coming of age within the internet world. The trick is to find a medium between those who exude confidence and determination and those who have a “no holds barred” outlook on life unafraid to reach for the stars – no matter how high! ~Thanks Pauli.
